In a major move for college basketball, Virginia eyes VCU’s head coach Ryan Odom. Virginia now calls him its top candidate for the vacant head coach job. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports that talks will speed up in the coming days.
Odom led VCU for two seasons. He started strong with a 24–14 record and a trip to the NIT. This season he pushed the Rams to win the Atlantic 10 regular season title and the conference tournament title. His results make him a prime choice as Virginia works to improve its program.
