UCF Transfer Jaylin Sellers Commits to Providence Friars
Sellers, a transfer from UCF, commits to the Providence Friars. He chose Providence from options such as Cincinnati, Georgetown, and Illinois. His decision ties him closely to the new program and shapes his future.
Last season at UCF, Sellers averaged 15.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. He started 32 of 33 games, showing his strength on the court. Injuries cut his game time short the following season; he played in only three games. His performance now makes him a key mover in the transfer market.
Before UCF, Sellers played at Ball State. There, as a sophomore, he started and contributed 13.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. His college journey builds directly toward his role in Providence.
On3’s Industry Transfer Rankings list Sellers as the No. 31 shooting guard. He is one of five UCF players who entered the portal after the recent tournament ended, marking a dynamic shift for the Knights.
UCF now competes in the inaugural College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas. They advanced to the semifinals by beating Cincinnati 88-80. This event, which shows basketball talent, also offers attractive NIL deals. The Knights face Villanova next with $500,000 in endorsement opportunities on the line. The finals team will earn more: the champion takes $300,000 and the runner-up claims $100,000. Stay tuned for more updates as players move through the transfer portal and college basketball takes new turns.
