Kansas Transfer Zach Clemence Joins Texas A&M Basketball
Texas A&M men’s basketball welcomes power forward Zach Clemence as a transfer. He announced his choice on Instagram this Sunday. Kansas Jayhawks he left after four seasons in Lawrence. Now he lands in College Station with the Aggies.
At Kansas, Clemence played few minutes. Last season he joined eight games after redshirting in the 2023–24 season. On the court he averaged 1.4 points and 1.4 rebounds each game. Standing 6 feet 11 inches tall, he was a four‐star prospect from Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas. Recruiting experts ranked him as the No. 66 player overall and the No. 16 power forward in the 2022 class.
While at Kansas he struggled for minutes. Across his career he averaged just 1.7 points and 1.5 rebounds. His highest time in one game was five minutes. Now, as a transfer at Texas A&M, On3 Rankings list him at No. 373 overall and No. 84 among power forwards in this cycle.
Clemence comes as the second transfer acquisition this offseason for the Aggies, joining point guard Jacari Lane. Texas A&M builds on its roster for next season. His skills and experience may give the team a boost in its quest for wins.
