Cincinnati’s Josh Reed Transfers to Penn State

Reed played 97 games in three seasons at Cincinnati. He started only a few games. He averaged 2.8 points per game. He shot 38.7% from the field and 32.8% from beyond the arc. He also gathered 2.1 rebounds per game.
Reed comes from Atlanta. He attended Pace Academy in high school. He earned the No. 149 overall rank in the 2022 class with a three‐star rating. He made the Top 40 small forwards list. He ranked as the fifth-best player from Georgia. The On3 Industry Ranking, which gathers views from top recruiting services, provided these rankings.
On3’s Transfer Portal rankings for 2025 list Reed at No. 447 overall. They place him as the No. 125 shooting guard. He is one of nine Cincinnati players to enter the transfer portal this offseason. His teammates include Dillon Mitchell, Dan Skillings Jr., Connor Hickman, Arrinten Page, Tyler Betsey, Rayvon Griffith, C.J. Anthony, and JJ Rembert. So far, none have committed to a new program.
