Baylor Guard Langston Love Transfers to Georgetown: A New Chapter for the Hoyas
Langston Love leaves Baylor. He transfers to Georgetown. He has one year of eligibility left.
Love shone at Montverde Academy in San Antonio. He earned a four-star rating. He ranked 36th in his class. He was seen as the eighth-best shooting guard. Colleges noticed his skill.
At Baylor, Love played 20 games last season. He started 12 games. He averaged 26.4 minutes per game. He scored 8.9 points, grabbed 2.8 rebounds, and gave 1.2 assists each game. He shot 38.9% overall, 32.6% from three, and 89.2% from free throws. He also got 0.2 blocks and 0.7 steals every game.
Over three seasons, Love played 74 games and started 14. In 2024, he earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. He led non-starters in scoring with 11.0 points per game. Baylor made the NCAA Tournament three times and reached the Round of 32 each time.
Now, Love begins a new chapter at Georgetown. He hopes to help rebuild the team. The Hoyas played in the NCAA Tournament last in 2021. They made only two tourney appearances since 2015. Georgetown once was a Big East powerhouse.
Coach Ed Cooley now guides the Hoyas. The team finished the previous season 18-15. They placed seventh in Big East play. Love joins to help boost their roster.
