Missouri Lottery Guide: Lotto Results, Winning Numbers & Game Details

Mike McDermott Mike McDermott on March 5th, 2025

The Missouri Lottery got its start in 1985 and has done a lot to help public school education in the Show Me State. So far, the MO Lottery has contributed more than $8 million to fund a variety of initiatives, with education becoming the primary one in the mid-90s.

As ticket sales increase, so does the amount of money going to those programs, as Missouri cracked the $400 million mark in proceeds in 2023 and continues to see growth.

Players must be 18 or older to purchase Missouri Lottery tickets. Online sales are not available yet, but could be down the line.

Missouri Lottery Games

Missouri is part of three multi-state lottery draw games – Powerball, Mega Millions, and Cash 4 Life. In total, there are nine draw games in the state, with the other six being exclusive to the MO Lottery.

Missouri also offers Pull Tabs and Scratch-Offs. There are no Fast Play games as of yet, but as the Missouri Lottery continues to expand, that seems like a possibility moving forward.

Missouri Lottery Draw Games

Powerball

Missouri is one of the 45 states that draws Powerball numbers on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. CT. Each Powerball play costs $2 per play and there is an additional add-on for $1 for the Power Play, which is a multiplier of non-Jackpot prizes.

Numbers from 1 to 69 plus a Powerball from 1 to 26 are selected. Matching all six wins the grand prize, which begins at $20 million and grows by at least $2 million per drawing. Oftentimes, it grows by quite a bit more.

Ticket sales cut off an hour before the drawing and are also unavailable between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. CT in Missouri.

Powerball was added to the Missouri Lottery in 1988.

Mega Millions

Missouri was one of many states to join Mega Millions in January 2010. This is another multi-state draw game with numbers from 1 to 70 and then a Mega Ball from 1 to 25. Each play costs $2, with a Megaplier add-on available for $1 that multiplies non-Jackpot prizes.

This game is drawn on Tuesday and Friday at 10 p.m. CT and ticket sales are cut off about an hour before the drawing on those nights.

This Jackpot also starts at $20 million and grows from there.

Cash 4 Life

Cash 4 Life and Lucky For Life are two popular multi-state daily drawings with a prize of $1,000 per day for life. The MO Lottery has opted for the Cash 4 Life version, which is played at 8 p.m. CT every night.

Five numbers from 1 to 60 are selected, plus a Cash Ball from 1 to 4. Each ticket costs $2 per play with a $1 optional add-on for the EZmatch, where players can instantly win up to $500.

There are 10 states that participate in Cash 4 Life and they are Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia.

Lotto

The appropriately-named “Lotto” in Missouri is the in-state lotto game that crowns a millionaire. The minimum Jackpot is $1 million and the game is drawn Wednesday and Saturday at 8:59 p.m. CT. Ticket sales cut off just before the drawing and also cannot be bought between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Players get two draws for $1 and the numbers range from 1 to 44. EZ Match is available here for an additional $1 per play as well, with that top prize up to $500.

Players also randomly get selected for a Lotto Doubler ticket when they purchase a Lotto play. That doubles non-Jackpot winnings with a winning ticket.

Show Me Cash

Show Me Cash is another Missouri-exclusive lotto drawing. This one is held daily at 8:59 p.m. CT and starts at $50,000. Each play costs $1 and the $1 optional EZ Match add-on is once again offered with this game.

The numbers range from 1 to 39 and ticket sales are cut off just before the draw and also from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. daily. The Jackpot increases by a minimum of $5,000 per draw until it is.

Pick 4

Missouri has a twice-daily Pick 4, with a Midday drawing at 12:45 p.m. CT and an Evening drawing at 8:59 p.m. CT. The Pick 4 variant for the MO Lottery includes the Wild Ball option to increase prize amounts.

Each play costs 50 cents or $1 and the Wild Ball multiplier doubles the price of the ticket. There is also an EZ Match option with this as well for another buck.

Four numbers from 0 to 9 are drawn to make a four-digit number and the Wild Ball is a separate  number as well. Numbers can be played Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Front 3, Back 3, Front Pair, Back Pair, Middle Pair, and Combo. Each additional play costs whatever the base cost of the ticket was.

Ticket sales cut off at the time of the draw and are also restricted between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Also, the MO Lottery cuts off ticket sales when a certain number of tickets with a particular combination have been sold. The Lottery cannot sell more winning tickets than it can pay, with a liability cut-off of $2 million.

Pick 3

The Pick 3 is the Pick 4, but with one fewer ball and smaller prize amounts. EZ Match is offered with this game and so is Wild Ball. Each play costs 50 cents or $1 and increases based on the different combinations and ways to win.

Like Pick 4, there are two drawings, with 12:45 p.m. CT and 8:59 p.m. CT.  The top prize is $600 for matching all three numbers straight on a $1 ticket.

Ticket sales cut off at the time of the draw and are also restricted between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Cash Pop

Missouri has also added Cash Pop to its offerings. Players can wager $1, $2, $5, or $10 per “Pop”, which is to select from 1 to 15 numbers. Players can play every number if they want, but prize amounts start at 5x the wager amount.

In Missouri, Cash Pop is drawn five times daily – 8 a.m. (Early Bird), 11 a.m. (Late Morning), 3 p.m. (Matinee), 7 p.m. (Prime Time), and 11 p.m. (Night Owl) (all times CT). The biggest maximum prize is $2,5000 on a $10 ticket.

The prize amounts are randomly selected by the lottery terminal at time of purchase.

Club Keno

Another draw game for the MO Lottery is Club Keno, which is drawn every four minutes up until 1:52 a.m. CT. Players cover as many as 10 spots on the 80-number Keno board and 20 numbers are drawn by the computer.

Club Keno has a Multiplier, Bulls-Eye, or Double Bulls-Eye option for players to increase the cost of a ticket, but also increase their chances of winning and increase the potential prize amounts.

Each base wager costs $1 and the additional add-ons cost $1 per.

Missouri Lottery Scratch-Offs

Scratchers are a big part of the Missouri Lottery. Tickets range from $1 to as much as $50. There are plenty of seasonal themes and tickets for any interest level. The end date for all games is posted on the Missouri Lottery website, along with the remaining prizes for each game in circulation.

Missouri Lottery Scratchers can also be entered in the My Lottery Players Club for loyalty points, second chance promotions, and more.

Missouri Lottery Pull Tabs

Pull Tabs are offered in approved lottery veteran and fraternal clubs. Five or six Pull-Tab games are available at any given time with $1 and $2 wager amounts.

Missouri Lottery App

The MO Lottery App works in concert with the My Lottery Players Club. Tickets cannot be purchased online, but players can check to see if their purchased tickets are winners. They can also keep up with the latest MO Lottery happenings.

MO Lottery prizes up to $600 can be claimed at an approved lottery retailer.
